Stress and worry are a part of everyone’s life to an extent. We all deal with situations and people in our lives that we find stressful. An anxiety disorder is when this natural worry and stress builds up to a level which requires professional help. It is ultimately a personal choice of when to seek help for anxiety disorders but a general guideline is if anxiety is stopping someone from enjoying or living their everyday life the way they would like to then it is worth seeking professional help.
Some people may find it difficult to take the step of seeking professional help for anxiety. Doing so may feel like an admission of weakness or somehow reflect badly upon the person.
